Mateo Alzate is a dedicated Wealth Advisor here at Guerra Wealth Advisors, where he helps clients build confidence and clarity in their financial futures. With a Master’s in International Business and a Bachelor’s in Finance from the University of Florida, Mateo combines strong academic credentials with his RICP designation and other professional licenses in financial planning and investment services to deliver comprehensive, fiduciary advice.

Before becoming a Wealth Advisor, Mateo played a key role within Guerra Wealth Advisors as a Wealth Management Associate and Onboarding Specialist. During this time, he developed a deep understanding of financial planning, investment strategy, and tax analysis while helping clients implement holistic solutions aligned with their long-term goals. His ability to make complex financial topics accessible and actionable has earned him the trust of clients from all backgrounds.

Mateo’s approach to advising is grounded in education, empathy, and strategic thinking. He thrives on helping families navigate retirement planning, investment management, and wealth preservation with clarity and purpose. Outside of the office, Mateo leads an active lifestyle and enjoys playing sports, going to the gym and traveling around the world. Mateo also loves traveling the world and trying new things in all of the countries and cities that he visits. His dedication to growth—both personally and professionally—reflects the same commitment he brings to each client relationship.


Individuals showing a RICP® designation hold an active Retirement Income Certified Professional® certification, offered by The American College of Financial Services. To earn the RICP® designation, the individual had to complete an approved educational program, pass courses focused on retirement income planning and meet stringent work experience requirements. Designation holders also adhere to The American College Code of Ethics and fulfill annual continuing education requirements to remain aware of current planning strategies and financial trends.
